Perfect Pupper
BRIEF
Apply service design, lean start-up, and user-centered design thinking to develop a minimum viable product (MVP) through a digital service concept. Create a problem hypothesis, a value flow between stakeholders, an investor pitch, and poster about your digital service.
SUMMARY
Perfect Pupper is a mobile app digital service that provides dog owners with an easy, intuitive way to learn how to train their dog. Users go through an onboarding process to personalize their training goals, and then they are provided with step-by-step training videos, along with a performance dashboard to track learning progress. Users can upgrade their training plan on a subscription basis, to unlock special advanced training videos, like how to teach their dog tricks.

01
Researching the Problem Space
As a team, we went to Frick Park in Pittsburgh on 3 separate occasions, and interviewed dog owners about their experiences raising their puppies and training them. We mapped the insights from our notes, and categorized the themes that emerged.

02
Sketching Ideas
After mapping out the potential routes of the screen interaction, we each tackled sketching some rough ideas for how different screens would look, as well as where button placements and selections could go.

03
Refining Screens
Making some revisions to the low-fidelity wireframes, we generated all the step by step screens to have a few user journeys using Figma. Through repeated trial, error, and usability testing, we improved the sequential transitions and page options based on people's intuitive button selections and interactions.

Final Screens & Poster Design
Below are the final protoype screens that showcase the key features of the app: Onboarding, Performance Tracking Dashboard, Training Videos, and Pupper Chat.
